2010 was probably the best year out of the five years we’ve been going (since 2006). I’ve taken my 350z day/work/family car every year, and it’s still awesome around the track and never suffers! Japanese engineering at its best!
This time, 2010, we rented a couple of Clio Cup sports cars from the hotel we were staying at. Here’s a video of Clewsy driving one for the first time around the ‘ring on Sat morning. Watch for the fishtailing Evo, the bad language, bad traction control on the carousel, the inappropriate phone calls, the bad gear changes, and I just wish you could experience the G-Forces (before you bitch about the video quality!). The video finishes at 10 mins dead because my Cackberry is hard-coded to do that (meh!), but we are near end of track then (not bad, 10 mins in a small car for the first time!).

Only just seen this, good work, I did the same last year, had a VERY rainy day, and hired a stripped out TT from a local ‘ring rental company. Got round in the wet (bridge to bridge) in 9’20″. Then took my A6 courtesy car round in 11’40 (!)
Did you have people telling you off for filming like I did? My video has a similar collection of “interesting” language choice, and it never does justice to the steepness of the course, and just how much some of the corners drop away from you, especially Aremberg!
Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did!
