Using Save to Notion to remember web pages
Super quick tip and vid: I use Notion as my “system of record”, and I use a Chrome extension called Save to Notion to store whichever web page I’m looking at into a Notion database.
The Save to Notion extension lets you configure forms to map web page fields to your database, and a quick Save button.
This is useful because the new Viewyonder Macaw CMS will watch for database entries and trigger an n8n workflow.
When I used this on the Viewyonder home page, here’s what the DB row/page looks like in Notion.
Each database row in Notion is a page, and the page attributes are database columns/fields. The fields are:
- Name = Page title
- Description = Page description
- URL = URL
- Created date = Now
- Published date = Page publication date.
- Author = Page author
